just went to meet with the dude in charge of hiring at the brewpub around the corner - benelux (fantastic fantastic beer - and yes, i’ve become a beer drinker!!). i had bumped into a girl i knew from res at the grocery store a few days ago, found out she worked at lux wednesdays, and was moving back to ottawa in less than a week. just happened that we were planning on grabbing a pint there anyway yesterday (yes, wednesday!) as three of the people from savoy had birthdays around now(ish). wednesday nights = 2 pints for 7.50$ and usually entailed various mcgill varsity teams and drunkenness. since it was spring break, however, i figured the place would be quiet(er), and we dropped by for some stout & west coast pale ale (yum!). 

anyway, gen mentioned that they were looking for a replacement for her yesterday when i asked whether or not they were hiring. so i presented myself. the fingers crossed was because of my feeble attempt at french - which! which! to which he responded in french (yes, excitement). now for the resume sending. and another set of crossed fingers because they’ll of course prefer someone who can stay beyond the end of april to work… *le sigh*.
