and i’d argue that you can grow up with a similar idea even if your parents should have parted ways long before they did.

we will be food critics at some point in our lives. and get paid for it.
i get unreasonably happy hearing french in this place - a table of quebecois behind us at dinner 2 nights ago, parisian ladies at the souvenir shops. we switched to french with the parisian best day agent (with whom we booked a snorkeling excursion); she seemed pleased.

artist statements
stumbled upon a random’s album on facebook who obviously uses the medium to showcase his work. gut reaction: each photo’s blurb took away from the art, and superficial explaination is trite and unneccessary. would i be less irritated by more esotericism?

concrete ground
back-from-the-bush-from-bugs-and-trees-and-oh! how i miss the smells. i’ve been neglecting my online presence, i know - so apologies. (this + blogger to be updated soon. and i’ll get around to skimming through your posts, too. promise!)

clothes from club monaco (and banana republic… though i haven’t been to either in ages) have, like so many stores, gone “ah!-people-are-afraid-of-numbers-so-let’s-make-size-6-a-0”. so jon, i sympathise. nasty suprise: rotting potatoes. bleeegh. *edit from tomatoes. really, we had rotting potatoes. i must have wanted tomatoes when i wrote this* marché 27: tasty! a sense of false intimacy.
the same reason for my dismay at facebook when it started feeding friends’ updates. with this one click away from other’s thoughts and random scrapings of words. no, wait: it’s spoon-fed to you, whether you like it or not. conversed with the boy with my irritation of it all, the convenience of it all, and the audience. who do you write for? subconscious censoring because of a...

i suppose that was, indeed, cryptic.
just went to meet with the dude in charge of hiring at the brewpub around the corner - benelux (fantastic fantastic beer - and yes, i’ve become a beer drinker!!). i had bumped into a girl i knew from res at the grocery store a few days ago, found out she worked at lux wednesdays, and was moving back to ottawa in less than a week. just happened that we were planning on grabbing a pint there...
fingers crossed.
red&white 2008
why did they split arts & science this year? why are the venues SO MUCH BETTER than last year?? (sci @ sofitel, arts @ marché bonsecours)i feel bloody spited.
blood sugar restored. that is all.
foiled! :(
it’s only a ‘tentative’ schedule, but nothing usually budges once it’s ‘tentative’. my ONE exam is on the 2nd last day (april 29). meaning a very brief trip back to toronto before northward-bound. not pleased.
i am also le tired.
i am thinking about a boy, en route to an audition at western. blow their socks off!
hypocrite?
although our apartment has quite a view, the moon is not in plain view at this time of night. my laziness (that wasn’t quite laziness as i ended up working out for instead - getting ready for the planting season) didn’t venture outside in search of the lunar eclipse. current obession: the BBC series planet earth. which, during my bouts of procrastination today, inspired google...
